The time has arrived once again to recognise and celebrate India’s organic farmers at the Jaivik India Awards 2022, which will be hosted in Agra on September 23, 2022.

Taking place at the Taj Hotel & Convention Centre in Agra, the Jaivik India Awards 2022 are being organised by ICCOA (International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture) in the backdrop of the Organic Food India Conclave (OFIC), which is organised by the events company, Tefla’s.

At the 2019 Jaivik India Awards, six of India’s Best Organic Farmers — Lanuakum Imchen, Manoj Kumar, Kailash Ram Netam, Sachin Tanaji Yavale, Hanumanth Halaki (Organic Farmers’ Group) and Maathota Tribal Farming and Marketing Producer Company Limited (Organic Farmers’ Group) — were awarded for their achievements. This year will see 39 awards being given out across 9 categories.

The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and the Government of Karnataka.

This year, the jury includes eminent members from government, leading organic farmers, researchers, exporters and companies involved in organic and natural farming, as well as, millets cultivation. An exhaustive and transparent peer review and jury selection process will ensure awards are only conferred upon worthy contributors.
