The growing trend in recent years of developing organic products has flourished to combat the exigent problem of pesticides and other harmful substances that are present in everyday consumables. Personally, I lead an organic way of life the way our ancestors did, which not only means growing and consuming organic, but also living mindfully, with a view towards sustainability—nourishing the mind, body and soul with healthy practices.
Of course, I eat organic foods and use organic products on my person and in my home, but also, I try not to waste any food, utensils, furnishings, clothes, etc. In my compost pit, I collect all the waste of vegetables, and leftovers and now have a thriving organic kitchen garden wherein I grow many vegetables. I am very heedful about buying fresh organic fruits and antibiotic-free meats and other foods from known vendors that I trust.
Due to my organic and healthy way of living, which I adopted 20 years ago, today I am an active 76-year-old, who is enjoying the dividends of creating her own custom designed organic life. I look forward to many more healthy years ahead. Owing to the sensible steps I took two decades ago towards eating healthy and using only natural products, today I have a reservoir of energy left over, which some of my peers who did not care about the chemical-based products they ate and used, sadly lack. That is why, even as a septuagenarian, I continue to be an active entrepreneur as I have been all my life.
The awareness of the need for purity in our lives continues to grow in me. This has led me to my new line of business, which offers pure spice extracts (wellness elixirs), dark artisanal chocolates, spiced honey, pickles and desi ghee.
It’s my own little contribution towards health and detoxification for society!
