Sonia Prashar, Chairperson of the Management Board & Managing Director, NürnbergMesse India, says, “BIOFACH INDIA 2020 – WE GO DIGITAL EDITION promises to offer an immersive experience for stakeholders from the organic and natural sector. They will be able to interact, exchange industry updates and network with each other during these unprecedented times. The show is in its 12th year and has witnessed huge industry support over the last years, and this forum is being created for their benefit.”
“Organic farming is a sector identified by the government, wherein India can not only meet its domestic needs but also become globally competitive by turning into a leading supplier to the world. By connecting the industry in India to local and international buyers through the BIOFACH INDIA 2020 digital platform, the objective of development of this sector can be achieved,” says Sivakumar Venugopal, Group Director, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse India.
India is bestowed with huge potential to produce a large variety of organic products due to its diverse agro climatic regions. In several parts of the country, the default legacy of organic farming is an added advantage.
Furthermore, the market for domestic consumption and exports has been steadily increasing year on year—even more so during the ongoing pandemic.
