Green Spaces, a Nashik-based realty and hospitality company, believes in marrying luxury with sustainability. Founded by father-son duo, by Kiran Chavan and Tejas Chavan, the company follows the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (meaning the world is one family in Sanskrit).

Some of the key biodiverse and sustainable highlights of Green Spaces and its properties, Grape County and Viveda, are:

Sustainable Properties: Grape County, Viveda, as well as, other properties of Green Spaces, including its corporate office, are sustainable as they have opted for eco-friendly materials in construction. Materials such as PP cement, green-certified wood, fly ash bricks, Non-VOC paints and energy-efficient electric fixtures have been used.

Green Spaces has maximised the use of green energy through water conservation, solar-powered plants, solid waste management, biogas plant and vermicomposting.

Eco-Friendly Features: The office building of Green Spaces has been designed following the 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) concept. Along with the use of natural materials, the design is focused on the sun path, shadow patterns, wind direction, humidity levels, etc.

Concepts like radiant cooling, solar lighting, rainwater harvesting were considered while creating the office. Everyday sustainable practices are also followed at Grape County and Viveda such as use of glass water bottles, no use of plastic, organic toiletries, biodegradable garbage bags, etc.

Biodiversity Park & Conservation of Native Birds & Insects: There are many exciting activities that Grape County has made available for its guests and all of them are based in the lap of nature. One can spot multiple varieties of birds and insects on its premises. This was made possible by partnering with environmentalists, horticulturists and landscapers to conserve 50 plus species of birds, more than 30 kinds of butterflies, and 52,000 trees.

Employment for Locals: From the housekeeping staff to the chefs, everyone working at the two properties is from the nearby villages. The locals are trained under hospitality experts and chefs.

Turning Farmers into Entrepreneurs: Green spaces has conducted initiatives to empower 150 farmers living in the vicinity. They have been instructed in organic farming.

The land on which Grape County stands today was once barren. With the relentless efforts of Green Spaces, Grape County is now an ecosystem comprising a dense forest dotted with beautiful water bodies. Spanning 180 acres adjacent to 5,000 acres of wilderness, the eco resort blends seamlessly with the surrounding ecosystem to create a lush green haven.

Presently, Grape County hosts 11 rooms and 7 premium forest tents. The brand also owns 22 farmhouses.
