Harvest Fresh Farms of Tamil Nadu has been awarded the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) Award under the category ‘Leading Guest House/Tourist Inn’ from India at a gala event in November 2016, at the Mount Lavinia Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Harvest Fresh Farms is an INDOCERT certified organic farmstay located in Cumbum Valley near Thekkady, Kerala. Surrounded by the landscape of the majestic Western Ghats on all three sides and spread across 35 acres, the farm grows organic pomegranates as it chief harvest, along with organic papaya, guava, mango, passion fruit, sapota, coconut and jackfruit. The farm also fosters an apiary, a source of fine organic honey.

At the award ceremony, Kurian Jose Jr, CEO, Harvest Fresh Farms, said, “We have been very health conscious and that is why we took the organic route when starting the farm. Over seven years, we have created a lush organic farm from a barren wasteland, created jobs for the local community and created awareness about organic farming in the region. That is the effort and progress we are proud to celebrate today.”
