MAYFAIR Lake Resort, Raipur, is the latest luxurious addition to MAYFAIR Hotels and Resorts. The property was opened for guests in August 2019 and, in a very short while, has become known for luxury hospitality in central India.

Located at just a few minutes’ drive from Swami Vivekananda Airport and the nearest railway station, the 124-key property, with event spaces ranging from 9,000 sq ft to 96,000 sq ft, is exquisitely designed to serve as an ultimate destination for destination weddings and MICE events.

“Growing our own organic food has helped us reduce our procurement costs by over 14% and considering the encouraging response of the guests, we are actively considering upscaling our efforts in this regard.”

ORGANIC FARMING AT THE RESORT

In pursuance of the Group’s endeavor to conform to the highest standards of eco-friendly and sustainability practices, the concept of organic farming was introduced at the property.

From reducing exposure to pesticides and chemicals, building healthy soil profile, combating erosion, and water conservation, to mitigating the effects of global warming, the benefits of organic farming from the ecological perspective are numerous.

Hence, we have decided to undertake it on an extensive scale at our property for the production of fruits and vegetables.

Over time, a healthy and fresh supply of products also helped us reduce our procurement costs by over 14% and considering the encouraging response of the guests, the associated benefits from environmental and revenue perspectives, we are actively considering upscaling our efforts in this regard.

ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES AT MAYFAIR LAKE RESORT

The resort derives its name from the pristine Jhanjh Lake, which encircles the property. While setting new benchmarks in hospitality, the eco-friendly and sustainability practices at the hotel are no less inspiring.

Through MAYFAIR Lake Resort, MAYFAIR Group has made its maiden foray into the central Indian tourism and hospitality landscape, carrying forward its legacy of eco-conscious hospitality, while also offering guests a nature-themed experience of luxury.

MAYFAIR commenced its journey of eco hospitality at the Lake Resort by planting a whopping 50,000 trees in and around the city of Raipur. Ensuring a thorough beautification of the city, it was perhaps the most impactful and large-scale eco-friendly initiative taken so far by any business house in the Naya Raipur region.

MAYFAIR Lake Resort is spread across 13.28 acres of land, with thousands of trees adorning this majestic property.

In view of the huge requirement of water required collectively for watering plants, organic farming, as well as, consumption by the resort, we have set up a state-of-the-art waste water treatment facility at the resort for treating used water, which in turn, is used to water the gardens, lawns and landscape.
